Submission and Approval Process
- Deadline: Submit requests at least one month before the event date.
- Review: Our team will review your completed form and follow up with you within two business days of receipt.
- Approval: Once approved, you'll receive the contract and policies and procedures.
Catering and Event Restrictions
- Catering: Outside groups must use Chartwell's Catering unless your event has specific religious or cultural dietary requirements that conflict with their offerings. The group must be approved prior to the event by Chartwell's.
- Prohibited Activities: Personal parties, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, weddings/receptions, political events, ongoing events, fundraisers, gambling, alcoholic beverages, outside catering, classes offered by NSU (to avoid conflicts), filming (unless approved), groups larger than the facility can accommodate, cooking in the facility, and using candles are not permitted.

Liability Insurance Requirement
Event insurance provides valuable protection for your event and NSU. It helps safeguard you from unforeseen issues like property damage or injuries that might occur during your event. All outside groups utilizing NSU facilities must maintain a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy. You will need to add Nova Southeastern University, Inc. as an additional insured.
Vendors: Any vendors associated with your event are also required to provide their own liability insurance.
